World Percussion Ensemble- All percussion instruments invited to participate in our rhythmic jam.

For the second year, RiverDrummers invites you to join us on a beautiful deck overlooking a garden and pond to participate in up to three hours of rhythmic musical improvisation. We will groove on traditional Middle Eastern and African rhythms as well as create our own. At the beginning of each hour leaders Ellen Shapiro, Luis Manuel, Anna Maria Meija-Epstein and Ted Epstein will spend a few minutes sharing basic techniques on djembes, frame drums, doumbeks, tambourines and shakers. Then please join in our community drum circle and add to the mix. You may bring your own instruments or borrow one of ours. Flutes and acoustic guitars (nothing louder!) welcome too. Snacks and beverages will be served.
